Recently, someone decided that the best policy to slow underage drinking would be to change the licenses. This is a good idea, only the method of implementing it is not at all what it seems to be. The plan is to change the licenses of under-21's. Their new lisences will be red, not blue, and they will be vertical, not horizontal. Why change them? This is will make it easier to distinguish under-age from legal. Yeah, right. What under-age drinker actually flashes his under-age lisensce when buying beer?? A dumb one. It would take an incredible stupid one to flash a vertical lisensce. All this has accomplished is to make it easier to buy under-age. But it gets better. The new lisences have a bar code on the back. Imagine that. This new bar code allows officials to store information on the person who owns the lisence. There is the real reason for the new lisences. The bar code. Everyone knows that the vertical lisences will not stop them. The under-age just won't use them to buy with. This is so blatantly obvious. Try again, boys. Maybe next time you'll slip by me. (If you have a problem with my spelling of license, feel free to donate money to me. Maybe I'll learn how to spell.) |
