So, here I am again. What I'm doing here, I'm not really sure. I have nothing to do.
Perhaps I'll post something worth posting in a second.

I do believe that I am through with my church's Young Adult class. No more. I stood there and disagreed and was disrespected, threaten and verbally assualted, and no one called the other guy down for it. I have better things to do with my time than listen to someone tell me how I am special and important to God. I already know that. Much of what this class teaches me I already know, and I am bored by that. Much of what she says, I don't agree with. I diffused the situation, and I politely left, but no one came to me, after. They went to him. So, I will not come to them again, either.
I am through with this.

Brand new, shiny, red.....bar coded.....
Well, well. Thank you Florida Legislators for promoting yet another stupid and obvious decision.
Recently, someone decided that the best policy to slow underage drinking would be to change the licenses. This is a good idea, only the method of implementing it is not at all what it seems to be. The plan is to change the licenses of under-21's. Their new lisences will be red, not blue, and they will be vertical, not horizontal. Why change them? This is will make it easier to distinguish under-age from legal.
Yeah, right.
What under-age drinker actually flashes his under-age lisensce when buying beer?? A dumb one. It would take an incredible stupid one to flash a vertical lisensce. All this has accomplished is to make it easier to buy under-age.
But it gets better.
The new lisences have a bar code on the back. Imagine that. This new bar code allows officials to store information on the person who owns the lisence. There is the real reason for the new lisences. The bar code. Everyone knows that the vertical lisences will not stop them. The under-age just won't use them to buy with. This is so blatantly obvious.
Try again, boys. Maybe next time you'll slip by me.
(If you have a problem with my spelling of license, feel free to donate money to me. Maybe I'll learn how to spell.)

Well. I am going to have to handle someone: Sope12. I'll just refer to him as such, as those who should know who he is will know. He apparently enjoys randomly harrassing his ex's friends, and yesterday Sopey (I'll refer to him as this instead) made a mistake: he decided to im me. Now, I'll admit that I was, in a fashion, looking for a confrontation with Sopehead (maybe that's better). But I tend not to enjoy people iming me as if they don't know who I am, and then suddenly knowing who I am, all while trying to cute with a game of cat and mouse. I am not a mouse. I am an Owl and I eat both cats and mice, so Dial Bar will have to live with that.
In any event, it seems he is trying to bother my friends, and me. He's caused one to have some faith-difficulties.
I'm gonna get 'im.
And, hell no, I'm not going to eat him. I don't eat diseased creatures; I let them rot.

Old people drive me insane, for a number of reasons. At first, I was only mildly bothered. However, after dealing with them again and again in a huge variety of situations, the feeling has changed. Not older people are like this, but sadly, the vast majority are. I feel it is necessary to delve into just why old people drive me insane.
The number one reason is that they feel that because they have managed to do what trillions upon trillions of humans have done that they are somehow special. Even more irritating is the idea that because God chose not to kill them at a younger age, that they should be treated with profound respect.
Crap...I'll finish this in a few minutes....
Ah....As I was saying...
The number one reason is that they feel that because they have managed to do what trillions upon trillions of humans have done that they are somehow special. Even more irritating is the idea that because God chose not to kill them at a younger age, that they should be treated with profound respect. Strangely, I think this has more to do with God than with them, so I'm less likely to treat them with such respect.
The whole age theory trickles over to another area: wisdom. Yes, you are old. Yes, this means you should have, by now, dodged a lot of cars, eighteen wheelers and maybe even a few trains. No, this does not mean you have learned anything about those cars, eighteen wheelers or trains. Heck, you may not have even learned anything about dodging. What does this say? Age provides an opportunity to learn; age does not grant learning.
The wisdom theory lends them this arrogance, and the arrogance can be seen in a number of ways. "You'll understand when you are older" is one of the most recognizable ways. Another annoying way is that they are older and therefore, you will see that they are right when you are older. That is almost enough to make me pray for them to live and see that I still don't think that they are right.
But the arrogance pops up in other, physical ways. Like driving. The old guy who does 35 in a 55 zone will do 85 in that 55 zone if you try to pass him. Why do they get in the fast lane? I've never understood that. You can tell if it's an old person, though, just by noting the type of vehicle. Is it a luxury vehicle? Yep, it's an old guy. In stores they frequently ask: "Are you in line?" like they haven't been trying move ahead of you for the last 5 minutes. If you are cashier, heck if you look like a cashier, and you are actually removing a cash drawer from the register they will ignore that and they will ignore the "Register Closed" sign, and the tons of junk they have to move to begin unloading their buggie, and they will begin unloading their buggie. Tell them that you are closed, and suddenly they will become offended- as if it is your fault that they are self-centered idiots who thought that their age was a free pass to getting whatever they want.
Seriously. If a child were to act in the manner that they act, the kid would get beat everyday and would live in a corner. But because old people aren't dead, they are smiled at and everyone acts as if this behavior is good. People will even say, "Well, they are getting on up there." Or, "They really don't realize just how rude they are being."
Neither does the 5-year old child.

I believe that humanity can be broken down into two basic groups. This is somewhat simplistic, I know, but on average, most of humanity is simplistic, too.
The two groups are as follows: Umbrella People and Rain People. At first, I was simply content with Umbrella People and No-Umbrella People, but I felt that the No- sort of distorted the idea. It's not that they are anti-umbrella, it's that they just don't normally use them. Nothing personal.
In any event, people fall into one or the other. Have you ever seen those poor souls who, when trapped in a rain storm filled with high power winds that are ripping their umbrellas every-which-a-way causing them to become drenched no matter what they do, still cling to that umbrella as if it were a magic talisman? Have you ever seen them?? That is a hard-core Umbrella Person. He will cling to that umbrella if a hurricane is pelting him with hail. He could be trapped in the movie Twister and feel safe as long his umbrella is there. There may be only 15 feet between them and their car, but they'll spend twenty minutes searching their house for an umbrella.
Then there are the Rain People. These people will walk to out into a hurricane if necessary, and to Hell with an umbrella. They recognize two universal truths. One: They are going to get wet, umbrella or no umbrella. Two: Rain will not cause a chemical reaction that will end their lives. Because of this, they have both hands free when they reach their car, and are easily able to get their key, put groceries in the car, or whatever they need to do. The hard-core Rain People have a tendency to simply stand in the rain to feel the rain, simply because they want to do so.
That is how humanity should be categorized.

“Never to Be”
Falling down,
Grasping at the Edge
Never knowing why the End
Can be so bright.
Screaming, running,
All in so much fright
Beating at Hope
While cursing Wisdom
You are lost,
And now you found me.
Grasping at the Edge,
Never knowing why the End
Can be so bright.
Screaming, and running,
All in so much fright
All you want is what you can see
But I have so much more to be
Pearls are sacred, and you are not
Yet here you are,
“Alms for the poor,”
Crawling through the mud, I will be
Pearls are kept in an air-tight bag
I’ll offer a hand,
But you- I will never be
Grasping at the Edge,
Never knowing why the End
Can be so bright.
Screaming, and running,
All in so much fright
Keep your fear, until you can hear.

“The Storm”
Rain is falling
Standing in the rain
Feel the life pouring down
Why run and hide?
Wind ripping through our world
Air swirling all about us
Why fear its power?
Lightning flashes
The Dark beaten by the Light
Moments of true sight
Should this be my foe?
The Storm rages everyday,
To stand in it is to stand in Life,
May it rage to the End
And may I stand to that day.
